We, Shinjuku NO.1 travel, participated to �hOizumi Samba festival & world gourmet grand-prix�h held in Oizumi, Gumma, the town of top rate of foreign population in Japan, as an event sponsor.

4 of our staffs from NO.1 travel Shinjuku office were in the event, however it was a little raining. The event started with 30 minutes delay, due to the weather.

Although it was raining, all the dancers and audience got together on samba beat with lots of excitements and enthusiasms

This samba festival is not just a dance festival, but with careful selection, the best team is selected. All the teams did their best performance made by their dairy practice and aimed for "grand prix".

There were the stage of �hworld gourmet grand-prix�h as well, adjacent to samba festival and the variety of foods from all over the world, including Japan, Korea, Brazil, Italy, Swiss or many more countries are offered to be "the best dish of theworld".

The selection works like this ; to purchase 1 set of coupon (consist from 5 single coupons) by 1,000yen. The coupon has a vote. Anyone who purchased this coupon can be a judge, and try 5 different country's food with 1 set of coupon (it has 5 single coupons. 1 coupon per country and judges can try 5 kinds of food in total), and vote for whatever they thinks is the best.

Lots of people bought this coupon and made a careful consideration of which food they want to try, and there were long lines for every booths, waiting for the dishes of their pride.

Around these people in the festival, staffs from NO.1 travel Shinjuku office distributed our fliers. Most people could pick it up and showed their interest to travels or their holiday plans.

We also set up our own booth there and had a quick inquiry or consulting of travel planning for those who are interested in travelling or flight booking. This would be one of the best opportunities to appeal ourself directly to all people there ; future customers of NO.1 travel.

At 16:00, �hsamba festival�h and �hworld gourmet grand-prix�h finished and went on to the selection for each of them. The result of these selections were announced.

First, for �hsamba festival�h at 16:45, and �hworld gourmet grand-prix�h followed at 17:15. This time, NO.1 travel Shinjuku office offered 1 free ticket to Taipei,Taiwan, as a prize for 1lucky voter among those who voted for winner shop of �hworld gourmet grand-prix�h.

Although the rain did not stop completely, we were really glad to see and communicate with lots of people in this event and could work there together.

We are planning to attend many more events in foreign communities like this, and wish to work and cooperate together, and to be NO.1 choice of their lives in Japan.
