Fiji
is a group of tropical islands lying at the heart of Pacific Ocean.Its original
settlers were "Lapita people" from Malenesian region, but during the
1500's Polynesians from Tonga and Samoa moved in, and integrated into Fiji.
From 1879, under the British Rule, many Indians were brought to Fiji to work
in the sugar cane plantation. Indian population in Fiji has been growing since.Today,Fiji
is home to many other races -Europeans, Chinese, and other Pacific islanders.
Each race believe in different religions.; Fijians are mostly Christians whereas
Indians are Hindu or Muslims. This religious and racial mix makes the unique
culture of Fiji,today.
